We've been honored with some very special guest this week. A 29-member service team from The King's Academy in California has been at Hope House this week. It's an understatement to say they have been busy!
When people visit Hope House one of their most common questions is, "What happens to the boys after they turn 18?" While the Mexican Government makes no provision for them, our love and care for these boys does not end with their 18th birthday.
In the beginning of November the town of Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos celebrated El Día de los Muertos—or Day of the Dead—by holding its 3rd annual “majestic festival.” There were parades, dances, art, food, and skeletons everywhere.
Some people think that taking a mission trip is just a clever way of disguising a vacation. Still others think short-term mission trips are a waste of time and money; that money would be better spent donating to an established ministry in-country.
