Summer Outreach Recap
We are excited to share with you about the teams who served with us in Mexico this summer. We had groups from Kentucky, Ohio, South Carolina and California. Hosting Outreach Teams is a vital part of what we do. By building relationships with mission-minded individuals we help support the vision of Hope House:
To break the cycle of abuse and neglect which our boys have experienced and, to form a generation of successful, productive young men whose hope is founded on Jesus Christ.
Not only do teams share hope found in Jesus Christ with our boys, but they are also the lifeline to our sustainability. Teams help to support Hope House general operations as well as find sponsors for the boys which help meet the financial demands of providing a loving home for 30+ boys. In addition, we are able to complete many of the ongoing maintenance projects which are required by Mexican Civil Protection.
This year two groups held a sports camp for the Hope House boys. Along with sports and crafts, these teams shared about Jesus through skits, object lessons and devotionals. Other groups helped us to complete a much needed structural project in our Carpentry Workshop and several groups worked to help advance our "Transition Home", for our boys ages 18+.
Thank you to everyone who came to serve with us in Mexico. We had a very productive and full summer.
