Genesis made fast friends with KeKe and orphaned boy who lives in San Juan and
eats 2 meals a day at the God Will Provide Feeding Program.
As we make plans for the June 2019 mission trip to Honduras, my thoughts return to the first team I lead there. Fifteen of us traveled to the Garifuna village of San Juan and worked alongside the local Christians in their community. We brought the message that God cares for them. Our goals were simple: bless the church, train the leadership and improve sanitation. During the day our men worked alongside local believers to tile and hang new wooded doors in the main sanctuary of the church. They also renovated the bathrooms by cleaning, tiling and installing running water in them. In addition, we began the kitchen renovation which included building a counter & sink and connecting water to the kitchen which is used for the daily "God Will Provide" children's feeding program. In the evening our team participated in the normally scheduled training and evangelistic events of the church.
Women from the Shepherd’s Heart team visited local homes and
families of the sick to encourage and pray with them
It is such a blessing to be able to get out of our comfort zones and fulfill the great commission by "Going into the uttermost parts of the earth!”. Every time I go to Honduras I am amazed and ask God, "Who am I that You would use me in this way?”. In myself I offer so little, but together we have so much to give. Together we can help make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.

If you would like to help feed the children, you can make a monthly contribution on our website to the "God Will Provide" feeding program which provides hot meals to over 90 orphaned and poor Garifuna children living in San Juan and Nuevo San Juan, Honduras.
Most Garifuna little girls have never had a baby doll. A group from Tennessee made these precious
dolls for us to give away. They were a huge success! Then only problem was that we ran out very quickly!
